Fermata Discovery Donates VIXN Licenses to Non-Profit Organization Seeking Justice

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY – May 2023 — Fermata Discovery, a NYC-based software development firm specializing in digital investigation tools, announces the donation of VIXN product licenses to non-profit organization, Seeking Justice.

“Seeking Justice does amazing and honorable work,” said Fermata Discovery Founder & CEO, Amanda von Goetz. “I am truly humbled by the founders’ dedication to supporting families that have been profoundly impacted by tragedy and loss.”

Founded in 2019, Seeking Justice (initially founded as Pink Justice) supports law enforcement agencies by working unresolved missing persons, unidentified individuals and cold cases. The Seeking Justice team further acts as a support system and liaison for affected families.

Fermata Discovery established its Non-Profit Partnership Program in early 2023, and provides free, no-contract licenses for its VIXN software to organizations dedicated to working missing persons, cold cases, or cases involving human / drug trafficking and/or organized crime. VIXN (Visualize Intelligence Across Networks) is an end-to-end case intelligence management platform, which enables investigators to work exponentially more efficiently, share case data securely across teams or organizations, and collaborate in real-time.

Jazmin Gamero, Non-Profit Partner Manager for Fermata Discovery, shared why Seeking Justice is an ideal fit for Fermata’s non-profit program: “We selected Seeking Justice because of their unwavering commitment to bringing closure to families who have endured unimaginable pain. Their dedication to solving cold cases and supporting law enforcement aligns organically with Fermata’s mission.”

“It is important to us as a team and as a company,” added von Goetz, “that everything we design be not only helpful to local and federal law enforcement, but also to organizations committed to supporting these agencies. Many organizations do not have the same budgetary resources as law enforcement but do have a tremendous desire to serve and protect. We hope to contribute to their work in a small but meaningful way.”

One in particular, a presumed serial killer who was thought to be linked to 5 different murders based on M.O. “Our Task Force is now working with the DA’s Office in prosecuting Smith…VIXN remains a great resource for our team.” Sergeant Michaels To bring these cases to justice the

Auto Fraud Finished

Told by Investigative Analyst Busch, California Law Enforcement Special Task Force: We’d been facing a significant rise in reported auto damage and thefts, which seemed to correlate to an increase in automotive insurance fraud. These schemes often involve fraudsters bombarding insurers with numerous claims, that quickly result in fast payouts and add up to substantial losses for the insurance companies. “Thanks to these findings in VIXN, the fraud ring is now facing prosecution, and our investigations have expanded to include several other potential rings.” Analyst Busch Determined to shift from defense to offense in combating this fraud, our task force

No Fooling with Fentanyl

Told by CO Investigator Rivera, Texas Sheriff’s Office: It began with a routine inspection when our corrections officers detained a visitor, Brielle Jenkins, after finding fentanyl hidden among her personal items. Jenkins insisted she was coerced into smuggling the contraband into our facility, claiming a threat was made against her and her mother’s safety after she posted her resume online. She alleged that she didn’t know anyone in the jail and was merely a pawn in someone else’s scheme. “The results were instant and obvious.” Investigator Rivera We were skeptical of her story, to say the least. Determined to uncover

Vice Ring Busts

Told by Detective Garcia, Florida Police Department:  Sex trafficking operating out of local massage parlors has been a long standing problem here in Florida. Over the last 18 months, we’ve seen an unprecedented number of reports and busts. Our County formed a specialized Vice unit with a clear mission: identify and dismantle these illicit operations.  “Within 15 minutes of using VIXN, we had dozens of new leads.” Detective Garcia The VIXN team had been in touch with our Captain and demonstrated how the tool assists with lead generation. Most players in these trafficking investigations are ghosts, so whatever leads we
